Etymology: Exostoma: Greek, exos = outside + Greek, stoma = mouth (Ref. 45335); peregrinator: Name from a Latin noun meaning 'one who travels about', in reference to the distribution of this species, which represents the first record of the genus east of the Salween River drainage.
